Adrasteius: Really? Really.

(no subject)

Welll I'm home. Leliel's not set up though. I'm waiting for my brother and father to get home before I do that... too many wires. Frightening.

Just have to hope the cats don't decide to pee on the foreign objects before Bryan and Dad get home. =P

You know what's always annoyed me? When I was younger (twelve--when i was writing horrible, horrible crap, thirteen--when i was writing horrible, horrible crap, fourteen--when claris and clarity were in their genesis, and when their first chapters were being thought of/written, and were thus also horrible, horrible crap) I was a total pimp about my writing. I thought the Internet was The Coolest Thing Ever, and I loved finding new ways to infect the Internet with my horrible, horrible crap (as I still do!). And in that time I got many people who told me that I had a lot of 'potential' as a writer.

I hate it when people say that to me. Just tell me that I suck and how to fix it. Even though obviously the people that were perceptive to do that hurt me more, I appreciate them now more than the people would say that to me, purely out of some ill notion of sparing my fragile feelings. Saying something has potential is just as hollow to me as saying it's 'interesting' in that tone which means 'it sucks.' Just say that it sucks. Don't patronize.
