Adrasteius: Really? Really.

(no subject)

I'm only a casual observer of Harry Potter fandom through fandom_wank, having only written one awful fic a few years ago which is not archived anywhere special (praise God), but --

This account of how one person single-handedly duped a bunch of e-famous people into some serious drama is so compelling that I literally cannot turn away from it. A person so desperate for acceptance from 'important people' that she went about creating multiple false identities, both malicious and benign, and used them not only to bolster her own status but to bring suffering on a group of people who, in the end, really just wanted to be left alone. That her friends are reeling in shock is natural, but that they all keep saying 'I don't understand how someone as warm and kind as her in other respects could do this' only cements the classical sociopathic nature of the event. Sociopaths are, after all, capable of being quite charming.

EDIT: My God, I'm still reading this. It's like watching a documentary on the Internet. AWESOME.

What I really want to know, though, is Msscribe's reaction to it all. There seems to be nothing public written on her LJ or anywhere else, yet ...
